Decatur

Decatur has a lot of decks built in the eighties and nineties that are at the end of their lives. We do a steady run of tear-outs here, and the frame underneath is usually worse than the boards on top, which is why we quote replacement after we've gotten under the deck rather than before.

Homes near the river deal with humidity year-round. That argues hard for composite boards and for a frame detailed to shed water — joist tape, proper flashing, and hardware rated for the chemistry of modern treated lumber.

We also handle the roofing side in Decatur: shingle replacement, porch roofs tied into the existing roofline, and leak repairs where the water is coming in somewhere other than where the stain shows up.
